WhatsApp has released the new beta version 2.22.17.10 for Android. Superficially there is nothing new to report, but behind the scenes an official platform chat is being prepared. In this chat there should be announcements about new app features to keep users informed directly in WhatsApp.

This feature is still under development. So it’s still inactive even in beta. Nevertheless, the colleagues by WABetaInfo show you what the whole should look like in the end.

WhatsApp not only wants to provide information about new features in the official chat, but also provide tips and tricks, as well as information about data protection and privacy. Depending on the country, there should also be separate announcements in the respective language. So there would also be an official German chat.

This will be a read-only chat. You can’t post anything there yourself, you only get messages from one side. If you don’t feel like it, you can hide or block this chat.
