We already introduced Sony Bravia Core in the blog: it is a streaming service reserved exclusively for Sony customers, especially those who buy Bravia XR series TVs or select smartphones. Now there’s something new: Bravia Core now also offers you the option to buy and rent movies.

Until now, it was just that: consumers who buy a new Bravia XR TV receive a credit that allows them to redeem up to ten current and classic blockbusters. They can also stream unlimited movies from a selection of Sony Pictures movies for up to two years. When the credit and period are used up, there isn’t much left. Different from now on: You can now rent or buy selected movies through Bravia Core.

Unfortunately, Sony doesn’t mention specific prices in its press release: maybe Bravia Core users will inform us in the comments? Too bad that the streaming platform is not accessible to everyone. For example, the IMAX Enhanced version of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” can be found there exclusively in the expanded image format.
