Nvidia has them Reduced prices of some graphics cards – and sometimes drastically. The most powerful models in the current line-up are affected, at least in the internal reference versions (Founders Edition). Therefore, the prices of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, 3090 and 3080 Ti FE are falling.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti should actually be available “for a limited time” for 1,899 euros. Because the originally planned price was 2,249 euros. But with skyrocketing energy costs helping to end the crypto mining boom, many specimens seem to have gone sour in storage. Because now the price has been reduced from 1,899 to just 1,329 euros – so by more than 500 euros.

The situation is similar to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090, which now costs just 1,199 euros in the Founders Edition instead of 1,649. Another price reduction that is impressive – here by 450 euros. The adaptation to the third graphics card in the group, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, is a bit more moderate and now costs only €1,089 instead of €1,199. Of course, the prices of custom models from the individual partners differ, so the street prices are sometimes higher, but sometimes also lower than the Founders Editions from Nvidia itself.

If you think about it now, you will quickly understand why Nvidia has lowered the prices of the three graphics cards: the next generation of graphics cards will be presented in October 2022: the GeForce RTX 400. There are also at least three new models to launch : the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070. Enthusiasts in particular will hardly reach for the previous models and look directly at the new generation. So it’s no wonder that price cuts are being used to try to empty the warehouse quickly before the launch of the more powerful successors.

I myself am currently using a test system with a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and will also report on the new models. I’m still a console ro at heart because of the convenience, and in the end I often prefer the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. But I’ll get you another report shortly with my personal pros and cons.
