The Peugeot 308 has just been launched on the market when the first electric models are already approaching. However, the selection of drives with plugs is still manageable.
From mid-2023, Peugeot will offer its 308 model from the compact class and its 308 SW station wagon not only with an internal combustion engine and as a plug-in hybrid, but also in an electric version. The electricity-loving customer does not have a large offer, because the two models Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW are driven on the front axle by an electric motor that delivers 115 kW/156 hp and a maximum torque of 260 Nm. This is quite manageable compared to the competition; but at least slightly more than the 100 kW / 136 hp previously only offered by the Stellantis Group and its individual brands. Those who want more power should opt for the two plug-in hybrids, which deliver either 132 kW/180 hp or 162 kW/225 hp.
Visually, the two electric versions hardly differ from the drive variants with combustion technology. These will be available from summer 2023 in the two equipment variants Allure and GT. With one charge from the 51 kWh battery pack, the two French electric vehicles would have to cover a distance of about 400 kilometers before returning to the charging station. The average consumption is given as a very low 12.7 kWh/100 km. However, the maximum charging power is just as manageable with 100 kilowatts. Most competitors offer their customers at least 135 to 175 kW kilowatts, even with the built-in 400-volt technology.
