Watch the video: New images from the James Webb Telescope reveal the beauty of the Orion Nebula.

Stunning images from the new James Webb telescope.

This image shows parts of the constellation “Orion” in unprecedented quality and sharpness.

Instead of the famous “Belt of Orion”, the photo focuses on the so-called Orion Nebula – in the center of the sword of the eponymous fighter of Greek mythology.

The Orion Nebula can be seen with the naked eye from Earth, but the recently released images reveal the stunning “heart of the nebula.”

“These new observations allow us to better understand how massive stars transform the cloud of gas and dust in which they formed.” Els PeetersWestern University of Ontario

The Orion Nebula is located about 1,350 light-years from Earth.

A direct comparison with the Hubble telescope shows how good the quality of the new James Webb telescope really is.
