Denon is expanding its portfolio of AV receivers and amplifiers. Several models will appear, starting at 969 euros. In the flagship class is even 6,999 euros owed.

The 8K receivers also support numerous 3D sound formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, but also Auro 3D, Dolby Surround and DTS Virtual:X are part of the game. With at least 7.1.2 channel audio (145 or 150 watts), there is certainly room for real 3D sound with appropriate ceiling speakers. Some models also bring 9.1.4 channel sound with 180 or 200 watts per channel. The HEOS technology, which allows expansion to a multi-room setup, is also part of the game.

The affordable entry-level model is the S-series AVR-S970H, which features three 8K inputs and full HDMI 2.1 connectivity. Costs 969 euros here, excluding via Amazon available. There are hardly any upper limits. The better equipped models will not appear until October 2022 or February 2023.

The end of the road: the AVC-A1H as the new flagship AV amplifier. It comes with 15 amplifier channels for 6,999 euros and is already aimed at professional cinema equipment. In addition to 3D sound, many other technical delicacies are housed here. In addition to the fully 8K-compatible HDMI inputs, up to four subwoofers can be powered via corresponding outputs, optionally also XLR. As with the little brothers from the X series (AVC-X4800H and AVC-X3800H), a software update for Dirac Live is also promised here via software update.
